We are now accepting
registrations for the upcoming 2010-2011 (fall/spring) soccer season.
Please note that the registration process will have only
ONE registration period for the 2010-2011 soccer season. If your child is only interested in playing
soccer in the Spring of 2011 you must register now.
There will not be a separate Spring registration period as has been done
in prior years.
The registration period
for 2010-2011 is from now until July 6th.
You can register for the full year and save a little money or
register for a single season. Spring season only registrations will be taken on
a first come, first serve basis for assignment to teams and therefore availability
may be limited. ICYSA will make every
effort to place players in the Spring but if unable to, will refund all fees.
Why are we changing
up our registration process? We are
doing this for several reasons… We
are the only MAYSA club which had separate registration periods and are one of a
few soccer clubs to offer the option to play Fall only or Spring only.
Also, we are attempting to streamline our administrative and planning
needs to once a year.
If you have any questions about the one registration period please
feel free to contact Mike Anderson at 608-341-7580 or
mikeaa0826@yahoo.com.
Volunteer Coaches:
In an effort to improve our
program we would like to offer an entry level “G/Y1” license coaching class. Please note your interest in this
class on the registration form.
Player Age Categories:
Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA)
dictates to ICYSA their team age category date ranges. To purchase player liability coverage
through WYSA, ICYSA must comply with these date restrictions. Birth dates for the 2010-2011 season
are listed in the players’ section of the registration form. Players may ‘play up’ to an older age
category at the discretion of their parents and with ICYSA consent. However, a player can only ‘play
down’ to an age category if they are playing with their class mates.
Who, When, Where:
All Iowa County, Wisconsin boys and girls over 4
years old and under 14 years old as of August 1, 2010 are eligible and welcome
to participate. Practices are held
on weeknights at Harris Park.
In-House games are played on Saturday
mornings at Harris Park. Traveling
Teams play games against other Madison Area Soccer clubs teams with home and
road games.
Registration Form: Player Information, Liability and
Medical Release:
A player’s parent or legal guardian must complete
a registration form for each player for each program. All registration form sections must
be completed. Parents/Guardians must
sign and date the release of liability section on the bottom of the registration
form.
Each player must have a completed registration form and Liability Release on file with
the Iowa County Youth Soccer Association in order to participate in practices
and games. There are no exceptions
to this rule due to liability concerns.
Refund Policy:
All requests for registration fee refunds must be made in writing and mailed to
ICYSA, PO Box 84, Dodgeville, WI 53533.
A $25 non-refundable per family fee will be deducted from any player
registration refund issued. This fee
covers the initial cost of registering the player(s). An additional $20 per player fee will
be deducted from any player registration refund request if the player uniform
has been ordered.
Player Equipment:
Each child must wear approved shin guards to all practices and games and must bring
their own soccer ball to all practices.
ICYSA recommends, but does not require, players also bring soccer shoes
and a mouth guard to games and practices.
